How to observe Feast of Trumpets as a Christian

Hi All. Hope you are all having a blessed Sabbath and had a blessed week.

As we get closer to the biblical fall/spring feasts depending on where you are located, I will be posting more on how to observe these feasts as Christians and if you are new to observing the feast days, it’s purpose and giving you the bible scriptures that indicate this.

I love celebrating Yahweh’s feast days, and I remember early in 2020, when I heard the Lord Jesus Christ tell me in my spirit, ” Mark your calendar , I want you to celebrate the feast days” ~ I started with Passover and I have continued to grow and learn and this has helped my walk tremendously.

The feast of trumpets and the next fall feasts that follow are not yet fulfilled, so we celebrate these feasts in anticipation and excitement of Yeshua Messiah / Lord Jesus Christ returning to fulfill these.

The Feast of trumpets symbolises the upcoming rapture/ catching away of the saints of God.

Please have a look at the slides I have prepared on how to observe this feast , which is coming up on the 26th September at Sundown to the 27th September Sundown, depending on where you are situated and how you observe the new moon. For some this feast will start on the 25th September at sundown.

The Feast of Trumpets is the start of the month of Tishrei or the 7th month in the bible. I pray these slides help and bless you to understand more about this feast. Also if you are starting out to celebrate these feasts , don’t be too hard on yourself. If you were not able to take leave , I encourage you to still celebrate. Yahweh appreciates all our efforts. Shalom ! 🤗🙏❤

Happy New Moon – Sivan

Happy Rosh Chodesh!! Happy New Moon !! 🎉🎉🎉🤗❤🙏

Today, at sunset marks the start of the third month in Hebrew calendar called Sivan. Depending on where you are situated the new moon may be observed from the 30th to 31st of May. ❤🙏 🎊

Interesting facts about the month of Sivan

  1. In the Torah , it is mentioned simply as the the third month , see Exodus 19:1
  2. The name Sivan is mentioned once in the bible in the book of Esther , see Esther 8:9
  3. On the third day of the month the LORD instructed Moses to “set a boundary”~ (hagbalah) for the people in the preparation for the coming revelation to be given 3 days later, which was the giving of the Torah. See Exodus 19: 9-15
  4. The first five days of the month of Sivan anticipate the day that the Torah was revealed to Israel at Sinai, namely on the 6th of Sivan which was at that time exactly 7 weeks after the Exodus from Egypt. I do not believe its a fixed day as some do,  but rather that we always count from the Sabbath of first fruits until the 49th day.
  5. Most importantly this month commemorates the giving of the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha-kodesh to the followers in Jesus/Yeshua after His ascension to Heaven 😊🎉🙏🎉
Numbers 10-10 : 10 "And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall sound with the trumpets at your whole-burnt-offerings, and at the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and there shall be a memorial for you before your God: I [am] the Lord your God.”
Psalm 81- 3 to 4: 3 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, in the glorious day of your feast. 4 For [this] is an ordinance for Israel, and a statute of the God of Jacob.”

The Purpose of the New Moon

  • 🙏 Appreciate and thank God for what He is doing in your life
  • ➡️ Repentance
  • ❤ Receive a word from the Lord
  • 🙌 Worship God
  • 🎉 Have a feast

The commandment to sanctify the new moon of Sivan reveals our responsibility to sanctify (i.e. observe) biblical time in general. This implies that when we observe the month that the Torah was revealed to Israel , we are infact acknowledging that time itself is rooted in the biblical calendar with its divinely inspired cycle of holy days and feasts (i.e. the moedim).

May you have a blessed new moon 🤗🙏!
