With the start of the Biblical New Year , we are moving into the first biblical feasts for the year , starting with Passover or Pesach.
I have prepared these slides as a summary of the biblical feast days, their purpose and possible dates. Dates will vary depending on how you observe new moon and which calendar you follow. This is just a guideline, especially if its your first time observing.
This will be my fourth year observing the feasts. I still remember in 2020 , just before Passover started, how I had heard the Lord tell me to mark my calendar and that He wanted me to celebrate His biblical feasts.
Celebrating the biblical feasts has greatly increased my walk with Yahweh. I love celebrating the Lord and I have learned so much from observing them. I believe the feast days are certainly appointed times to spend with God, hear from Him and continue to grow in Him.
The idea is not to follow this as a religion, or a checklist but rather to appreciate God’s appointed times and move away from pagan and manmade feast days 🙏🙏. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE DEEPER AND SPIRITUAL MEANING FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST THAN MECHANICALLY FOLLOWING THIS AS A SET OF RULES. However, we do learn a lot from physically doing and celebrating the feasts; and these are perpetual commandments.
Also, given how things are set up in the world – you may be working on a Sabbath etc, you may not be able to physically remove all the leaven from your house, or you live in a house where not everyone observes the feasts… However , I do believe that our Heavenly Father sees and acknowledges all our efforts and that we should try our best to keep the feasts. ❤🙏
Today in prayer, God gave me Jeremiah 32 as one of the Chapters I needed to read.
These verses in Jeremiah 32:17 stuck out to me – “O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! (NLT)
There is really nothing too hard for the Lord. Recently I have been waiting on promises of the Lord , and I will not give up hope no matter how much the enemy wants me too. I pray that if He has promised you something too that He will see it through and it will come to pass. Most of the time we need to believe , have trust in and faith God that He will bring it to pass. We may also need to fast and pray on that promise. 🙏🙏🙏
God’s word in Isaiah 55:10-11 states: 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God’s word is true and He does not lie, His word will not return empty until He has accomplished what He set out to. If God has given you a dream, vision or word or confirmation of something , then you need to trust in Him, have faith in Him and Hope in Him that He will bring it too pass 🙏🙏❤❤
My wonderful heavenly Father , I will trust in You Lord, I have faith in you Lord and I hope in You Lord that you will accomplish what you have promised me and the saints of God. We love you so so much Father, In Jesus Christ’s name we pray 🤗❤🙏. Amen !
Hi All. Hope you are all having a blessed Sabbath and had a blessed week.
As we get closer to the biblical fall/spring feasts depending on where you are located, I will be posting more on how to observe these feasts as Christians and if you are new to observing the feast days, it’s purpose and giving you the bible scriptures that indicate this.
I love celebrating Yahweh’s feast days, and I remember early in 2020, when I heard the Lord Jesus Christ tell me in my spirit, ” Mark your calendar , I want you to celebrate the feast days” ~ I started with Passover and I have continued to grow and learn and this has helped my walk tremendously.
The feast of trumpets and the next fall feasts that follow are not yet fulfilled, so we celebrate these feasts in anticipation and excitement of Yeshua Messiah / Lord Jesus Christ returning to fulfill these.
The Feast of trumpets symbolises the upcoming rapture/ catching away of the saints of God.
Please have a look at the slides I have prepared on how to observe this feast , which is coming up on the 26th September at Sundown to the 27th September Sundown, depending on where you are situated and how you observe the new moon. For some this feast will start on the 25th September at sundown.
The Feast of Trumpets is the start of the month of Tishrei or the 7th month in the bible. I pray these slides help and bless you to understand more about this feast. Also if you are starting out to celebrate these feasts , don’t be too hard on yourself. If you were not able to take leave , I encourage you to still celebrate. Yahweh appreciates all our efforts. Shalom ! 🤗🙏❤
Whilst in prayer, the Lord was leading me to read Jeremiah 18 and Ezekiel 11. And praying on this word this is what I received from God as the underlying theme regarding walking in our Creator’s ways.
When reading Jeremiah 18 it explains how God is our potter and we are the clay.
Jeremiah 18:6 - O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
God was asking the nation of Israel to repent, to repent from doing evil in His sight , otherwise judgement was coming to Israel and more specifically Judah. And we see in the verses below that the men of Judah chose to rather walk after their own devices and in their own evil ways.
Jeremiah 18:11-12 11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. 12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
But what is this evil really ? We get more of the answer in verse 15.
Jeremiah 18:15 - Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;
We see the ancient way refers to days of old. Many may say this refers to God’s Torah , which is made up of His commandments, statutes and judgements. Although , this is what I have come to believe, I don’t necessarily believe it means keeping all 613 commandments of the law, but rather those that are perpetual such as the ten commandments and the biblical feast days. Some of the Torah also doesn’t apply to everyone, for example some are for women, for priests etc. And thankfully Lord Jesus Christ is our high priest and those sacrificial laws and offerings have been replaced , and as part of a new covenant Lord Jesus Christ is our High Priest who intercedes on our behalf. He himself became the ultimate sacrifice.
Also an important note is that we keep the commandments as we are saved, we are not saved by keeping them but only through grace and through faith in Lord Jesus Christ. However there are also blessings in keeping the commandments and curses for not doing so.
A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deuteronomy 11:27 KJV
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Proverbs 7:2 KJV
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew 19:17 KJV
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:10 KJV
Does this mean we are perfect or aim to do things on our own? Absolutely not ! We should never be doing this mechanically or just for the sake of doing it, that is religion. Also none of us are perfect, we all sin, but God provides His Mercy in that when we sin we confess that sin and according to 1 John 1:19 , if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us for our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That is why living a repentant life is also important, including daily repentance.
If we go back to the verses above we also see what the Hebrew word for walk really means. It is the work yalak, which means to walk in counsels and statutes and in this case it is the counsels and statutes of the Living God. In Jeremiah 18:15 we see that the way the people chose to go translates to a bad sense meaning walking in evil ways… away from the commandments of God, which in essense is sin.
I was then lead to read Ezekiel 11 and this for me was another witness as these words stuck out to me. God was speaking to the rulers in Israel at that time and how He would bring judgement upon them for not walking in His ways.
Ezekiel 11:12 And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
The verses in later in the chapter express how God will restore Israel especially if they choose to walk in His ways.
Ezekiel 19-20: 19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
I do believe this is a promise of these end days , God is indeed giving us a new heart and putting a new spirit within us, that we may walk in His ways always and forever.
I pray that this word, gives you some food for thought. Always pray and take things to God, ask Him about this word and if it is relevant for you. I pray this blesses you ! Shalom.
